Last spring, the Rosey Environmental Society launched an initiative as part of Rosey’s Earth Day.  All members of the community were asked to consider their impact on the environment and how they could reduce their use of water, food waste and so on.  Le Rosey made its own commitment, and one example of this was in getting rid of all plastic goblets on campus and another was the installation of a charging station for electric cars as a way of encouraging staff to buy environmentally friendly cars.  A new step has now been taken by the installation of 107 solar panels on La Grande Combe — a building where the girls’ dining room and kitchen are housed and which therefore consumes a great deal of energy.
