14 Sep 145th Weekend de Connaissance
The traditional Week-end de Connaissance, or “getting to know each other weekend,” is a chance for Roséens new and returning to spend the weekend together on and off campus and create their first set of memories for the school year.
- Class T enjoyed a sunny day on Lac Léman, participating in activities like badminton, paddle boarding, SUP, and wake surfing, building personal character and community spirit.
- Exploring La Roche and Lac de la Gruyère with kayaking and a scenic picnic was more than outdoor fun; it allowed Class 1 Roséens to deepen their friendships and reflect on their goals for the upcoming year.
- Class 2 pushed themselves to new heights at Charmey’s Parc Aventure, with zip lining and tree-top trekking, demonstrating courage and a willingness to step out of their comfort zones, both essential traits as they build character for the year ahead.
- Canyoning through the Canyon de la Salanfe tested not only physical abilities of Class 3, but also their teamwork and perseverance.
- Class 4 took a more cultural route, discovering the rich history of Fribourg’s old town. Their adventure ended with a sweet stop at a chocolate factory, reminding us to savour the little things.
- Class 5 spent the day unwinding in Montreux, enjoying beach volleyball, SUP, and a peaceful walk to plage, a valuable lesson in the importance of mindfulness and balance in school life and personal development.
- The Juniors discovered the forests of the Jura during a lovely walk, during which they got to know each other through games. They showed themselves to be close-knit, welcoming and curious. Back on campus, they had a great time in team activities that will bond our little Roséens residents for life!
As they begin the new academic year, Roséens will carry these shared experiences with them, ready to face challenges, grow in confidence, and build lasting connections.
