30 Sep Bookfête: a celebration of reading
Another very successful Bookfête took place at Le Rosey this term with students, teachers and guest speakers offering insightful discussions into their own must-reads and literary interests. The festival, conceived at Le Rosey to offer a day dedicated to the joy of reading, is now in its fourth year, and always includes a diverse programme of sessions, in various languages, for the whole school community to engage with. We were delighted to welcome back Gaelic storyteller Niall de Burca whose lively narrations were enjoyed by all, as well as a fantastic production of Alice in Wonderland for classes 3 and 5. Renowned Mathematician Bobby Seagull concluded the day with a brilliant “university challenge” quiz in the Carnal Hall – a technical feat with real buzzers, video conferencing and live commentary. A huge thanks to all involved in the special day, which remains a highlight of the autumn term at Rosey.
