08 Feb Double Victory for Le Rosey in the Alpina Cup
Le Rosey and Gstaad have shared a love story for more than a century. Ninety years after the joint “Le Rosey and Gstaad” team were crowned Swiss ice hockey champions in 1921, 1924 and 1925 (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Championnat_de_Suisse_de_hockey_sur_glace#Championnat_national_(1916-1937), the former allies now face off against each other every year, competing on the ski slopes and on the ice for the Alpina Cup. For the first time this year, Le Rosey celebrated a double victory – against students from the Interlaken Gymnasium in the giant slalom and against Gstaad Ice Hockey Club on the ice rink. Le Rosey therefore becomes the proud holder of the trophy offered by the competition’s organiser and sponsor, the Hotel Alpina – at least until the rivalry is renewed next year.
