13 Jun Le Rosey welcomes 4 students from Rosey-Abantara
From the banks of the Niger to the shores of Lake Geneva: le Rosey welcomes 4 students from Rosey-Abantara
From 16 to 21 May, our school took on four new students from our sister school in Bamako, Rosey-Abantara
Thanks to the warm welcome you gave them, Samba, Kadidia, Konimba and Fatoumata had a superb week with us and one which they will remember for the rest of their lives.
They were particularly impressed by boarding school life and student-teacher relationships, the size of the campus, interactive whiteboards in the classrooms, the sports fields, the abundance and variety of the food (they had never seen strawberries), and their first experience of snow during our excursion to the Diablerets glacier.
For my part I was impressed by great surge of generosity by Roséens, the kindness you treated them with, and the time you devoted to them. After only 24 hours it seemed as though they had always lived amongst you.
Bravo, and thanks to those who made such an effort this week. I very much hope that we have the chance to repeat an experience which has allowed us to know Rosey-Abanatra better through its four representatives who can be depended upon to carry back lots of stories to their friends in Mali.
