18 May Honour Trip in Kenya

Twelve students recently returned from a magnificent trip to discover Kenya, its wildlife and the Maasai people and their traditions. The students saw the work of a Trust which works to preserve wildlife while helping the the Maasai and their herds but at the same time taking on the difficult task of fighting against female circumcision and reduced access to schooling. The students and their teachers visited a school with 1000 pupils some of whom had walked for several hours for their education—and this while staying in a eco-friendly lodge.  All in all, an extraordinary Honour Trip well off the beaten track of traditional African safaris.

18 May Voyage honneur au Kenya

Magnifique voyage d’une semaine avec 12 élèves. Nous avons découvert le Kenya, ses animaux. Le peuple Massai avec ses traditions. Visiter un Trust qui travaille à la conservation de la faune sauvage tout en aidant les Massai et leur troupeaux, la cohabitation n’est pas toujours facile, qui travaille également à l’éradication de la  la circoncision chez les femmes et leur accès aux écoles. Nous avons visité une école de plus de 1000 enfants certains d’entre eux devant marcher plusieurs heures par jours pour accéder à l’éducation. Nous avons vécu dans un lodge totalement écologique.
Une expérience inoubliable, un voyage honneur fantastique hors des sentiers battus des safaris traditionnels
