15 Aug Le Rosey never sleeps
What happens to the Rosey campuses during summer? They are only deprived of the vibrancy and joy that the presence of students brings for a short couple of days between the end of the school year and the arrival of the Summer Campers —who, for a couple of weeks between mid-June (in Gstaad) and mid-August, get a glimpse of the day-to-day life that Roseans enjoy for nine months of the year.
Over 750 children aged 8 to 16 from 76 countries, much like Roseans, gather in Switzerland and spend the summer either in Rolle or Gstaad to experience a beautiful summer adventure filled with new friends, sports, language lessons, expeditions, artistic activities, games, evenings around a campfire or dancing at one of the discos. With the collaboration of professional coaches from the Tony Parker Basketball Training by ASVEL and the Real Madrid Foundation Football Clinic, plus Camp Directors, who are all Rosey teachers, helped by 160 camp counsellors and the hundred or so campus staff, these temporary Roseans discover our school, and some decide to turn their temporary status into something more permanent… Because although Roseans are not allowed to participate in the camps (you have to avoid in excess in all things after all, no matter how good!), many future Roseans will have discovered their school thanks to the camps. We can wish them no better!
