12 Sep Concert de rentrée : Noa et les Solistes de la Menuhin Academy
For our traditional concert de rentrée, we are always on the lookout for vibrant artists who can offer a more modern repertoire to begin each new season at Rosey Concert Hall. Israeli-American singer Noa (Achinoam Nini by full name) opened its sixth season on Monday 9th September joined by orchestra-in-residence, the International Menuhin Music Academy. Performing her latest album, Letters to Bach alongside collaborator, teacher and friend, Gil Dor, it was an enlightening opportunity for the audience, listening to traditional Baroque polyphony set to modern and extremely pertinent lyrics. A diverse selection of compositions sung in English, Hebrew and Yemenite provided a truly varied programme and the evening concluded with a standing ovation. What a brilliant way to mark la rentrée and of course, introduce our newest students to the heart of Rosey’s creative activities.
