19 Feb Rosey Races 2019
Students, staff, parents and Anciens gathered once again for our traditional Rosey Races and the long weekend that follows in some of the best conditions recorded for this annual event.
On Friday morning, the whole school congregated at the bottom of Wasserngrat to watch and support Rosey skiers and snowboarders taking part in the school’s slalom races. Over four hundred racers participated, including parents and anciens in their respective categories. At end of the afternoon, our current Rosey ice hockey team went head to head with their alumni counterparts on the ice in the heart of Gstaad village. Though competition was fierce, age triumphed this year, and the Anciens took home the trophy.
As one of three major whole school celebrations during the year, the Rosey Races and long weekend serves to bring together all branches of the Rosey community, welcoming current parents, reuniting Anciens, some of whom were celebrating their thirtieth Rosey anniversary, and encouraging endless peer-to-peer support amongst our students. Congratulations to all who took part and special thanks to all staff involved for making it another brilliant success!
