08 Nov A Treasure on campus
One of the advantages of a school built on the site of a century-old chateau is to have in its grounds equally old chestnut trees, classified as regional heritage. These trees not only serve as the majestic entrance to Le Rosey, but also guard treasures beneath their trunks. Armed with dogs and under the guidance of one of Switzerland’s greatest truffle hunters, fifteen Roséens set off to dig up our own truffles on campus, learning about this exceptional mushroom and finishing their day with freshly-made truffle butter on toast, its subtle taste enhanced by the excitement of eating what they had just picked moments before.
