16 Oct A Theatrical Weekend in London
Our journey began immediately after Bookfête, with our destination set for London, England.
Our first morning in London started at the iconic Millennium Bridge, leading us to the National Theatre. Here, we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in the enchanting realm of theatre through an exclusive backstage tour. We explored the inner workings of the set and props workshops and caught a behind-the-scenes glimpse during a lighting and sound check for the historical epic, “The Father and the Assassin,” a poignant narrative about Mahatma Gandhi that we were about to watch.
Our journey continued as we strolled back across the river to Covent Garden, treating ourselves to a night of laughter at the award-winning farce “The Play That Goes Wrong”. Before returning to Geneva, our whirlwind weekend closed with a Physical Theatre Workshop with a professional director.
As our weekend of theatrical wonders ended, we bid farewell to London, brimming with newfound skills and cherished memories.
