25 May Concours de Poésie
As part of our 36th poetry competition, all Roséens, from Juniors to Seniors, practised their poetic writing skills under the guidance of their teachers. The entries proved to be extremely varied, much to the delight of our eclectic jury of students from class 5 to class 1. , much to the delight of our eclectic panel of judges, made up of pupils from classes 5 to 1. Meeting to read aloud and comment on the productions, the jury identified many gems rich in imagery, emotion and musicality, and awarded prizes to each of the classes in the mother tongue and French as a foreign language categories. The judges were unanimous in highlighting the quality and commitment shown by the students in their writing.
To celebrate poetry at our traditional awards evening, the students, guided by their French and drama teachers, put their work into words, images and scenes. The Juniors invited us into a carefree, light-hearted world and gave our evening a festive air. Our Cadets, then our Jeunes Seniors and finally our Seniors celebrated the depth of feeling and the beauty of language with original productions and performances of exceptional quality. The talent and commitment of all involved have already inspired our students to plunge their pens into this ink that no one dreads any more, and to perform on stage as a tribute to beauty!
