08 Feb University Summit
Winter sports and fierce competition on the slopes aren’t the only defining features of the Rosey Long Weekend. This year, our Guidance office welcomed representatives from Carnegie Mellon University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Oxford, and the University of York to meet with class 2, 1, and T students and their parents for small group sessions that allowed students to ask questions, probe ideas and to walk away with a better understanding of entry requirements, degree programs and extra-curricular offerings available.
This year, students participated in a mock application review where they acted as the committee based on the files they were provided. This promoted good discussions about what is important to highlight on applications, as well as insight into how committee-based decisions are made and the difficulty in selecting students.
