On November 6th, 12 dedicated Roséens from the Environmental Society led the celebrations for Rosey’s first Earth Day. The event included film screenings and talks led by Sustainability Catalyst Alice Richard. Her talk introduced the idea of the environmental Venn diagram, blending what brings us joy with what we’re good at and finding ways to incorporate that into what needs to be done for the environment.   

Rather than leaving a footprint, Richard’s talk focused on our handprint, emphasizing a positive approach to environmental responsibility. To add a flavourful twist to the day, the Environmental Society hosted a taste and vote stand to decide on which new sustainable snacks to introduce at Ljubo’s.  

Overall, Rosey Earth Day was more than an event; it was a celebration of our commitment to the planet. The success of this inaugural event encourages us to make it an annual tradition!
