It was straight into Service Learning for the Cadets in the spring term at their Service Learning Conference, an afternoon dedicated to engaging with local and international charities. All Cadets attended virtual workshops on particular projects relating to community needs, with organisations such as Paint a Smile, Oiko Credit, Wildlife Sense and Polar Quest, meeting with professionals and discussing ways that Roseans can provide support to each of the causes. The purpose is to generate interest, curiosity, understanding and incentive for Roseans to become involved and take action, reflecting independently on creative and effective initiatives and then working with the organisations’ professionals, to positively impact each community.
