29 Nov The November Balls
Every November, Rosey holds three balls – for the Cadets, Jeunes Seniors and Seniors – inviting all students to appear at their best. The Senior Ball, this year at the Lausanne Palace, is usually the most glamorous, with girls wearing some genuinely beautiful dresses (often designed by them) and young men usually sporting a tuxedo. There is also a prize-giving ceremony when students hand out awards that are mysterious to all outsiders. This year was no exception and teachers were left pondering why some students were given “Angel” diplomas… In the pictures an elegant gown and the traditional staircase picture closing proceedings (and with some comité students already dressed to take down this year’s Alice in Wonderland theme decorations).
