The Guidance Office at Le Rosey was very pleased to welcome Mr. Peter Wilson, Deputy Dean and Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Chicago to speak with Roseans in Class 1 and Class t about applying to highly selective universities, such as UChicago and the Ivy League. The session gave Roseans insight into what makes strong applications, with an emphasis on both the importance of high achievement in grades and engagement with extra-curricular activities that a student truly enjoys; whilst there is no scientific formula for admission to the most selective universities, admission officers are looking to see the authentic student. Following the meeting, Mr. Wilson expressed how impressed he was with the questions he received and the level of interest showed by the Roseans present. He spent a further two hours with the Guidance Team, building on the strong existing relationship between Le Rosey and the University of Chicago.
