18 Oct Western fair on campus
A Western fair was organised on campus this autumn by Roseans in class 1 to fundraise for the continued care of retired horses. Teachers volunteered to run the barbecue and an array of fairground treats were on offer from crepes to popcorn, candyfloss and marshmallows. Activities were in abundance, including a mechanical bull, throwing horseshoes, donuts on a string and line-dancing and musical entertainment was provided by Mrs Okun, the school’s counsellor. Four Roseans donned their best country attire and performed a country dance, inspiring others to join them on the dance floor. The afternoon raised the necessary funds to guarantee the horses’ retirement care and was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
